Destination dresses come in all lengths, colors and styles. Tea length wedding dresses or even a short wedding dress have become very popular wedding dress choices.

Lightweight fabrics are great to travel with like chiffon or charmeuse. Don't pack the dress in your luggage, though. Many destination dresses are meant for the sun. You'll often see strapless, spaghetti straps and halter necklines. Remember, if there will be cool breezes, be sure to have a light weight shawl or jacket, as well. This can frequently be the case in the evening.

Most dresses will be very affordable. Even the designer collections cost much less than a traditional wedding gown. You can also check out the bridesmaid dress sections or an online store for deep discounts.

Also look into some non traditional sources, such as department stores, resale shops and online auctions. You'll be surprised at the number of unused wedding dresses that are available through a resale outlet or auction.
