Hawaii Leis

A Touch of the Islands

Hawaii leis are seen at so many celebrations in the Hawaiian Islands. They are the embodiment of aloha.

The Hawaiian lei is rich in history. Leis were originally reserved exclusively for royalty. Today, they hold a special place in the hearts of Hawaiians, and those wishing to capture to aloha spirit.

They are used for hello, goodbye, congratulations and thank you. You will often see them given at the airport, for tourists and locals alike, as a welcome.

hawaii leis A Hawaiian wedding lei is a beautiful way to incorporate the traditions of Hawaii into your ceremony. They are wonderful for the bride and bridesmaids as well as the groom and groomsmen. They symbolize the uniting of the couple and/or their friends and families.

They can be worn open or closed around the neck and in the hair. Using a tropical flower is an obvious choice. The most popular flowers used are the orchid, tuberose, carnation, plumeria and rose. Kukui nut leis and Ti leaf leis are also frequently seen.

You can order fresh leis and flowers directly from Hawaii. They can be sent to your home, hotel in Hawaii or your wedding location.

Adding a lei to your celebration will make it all the more special.
