Choosing an informal beach wedding dress for your beach wedding doesn't mean you can't be stylish or glamorous. It just means you will want to go with a different style.

Since beach weddings are more casual, you won't need a formal dress as if you are in a church setting. A full formal skirt and pouffy headpiece aren't necessary.

It's nice to show some skin at the beach, so a strapless or halter top are good choices. If your wedding will be in the evening, choose a beautiful, light wrap to protect you from the wind.



When you wear a wedding dress at the beach, be sure to choose something that won't cling too much and can float in the breeze. You will also want to consider the length. If it is too long, it will drag on the sand. Too short and it may get caught in the wind. Also consider going with flip flops or without shoes. You'll only get sand in them.

The nice thing about casual beach wedding dresses is they don't usually take as long to alter, if you need to at all.

You can try an online dress store, or you may even consider going to some of the nicer places that you usually shop. You may be surprised and find something off the rack. After all, these are the places that you know and love.
